Trucks

Okay, so we didn't buy the black truck in the last post. But we did buy this gray one! :-)

I had a 4WD Nissan way back pre-dogs and I've always wanted another one, and today i got it (I just couldn't make myself buy the oh-so-practical minivan!). Gael was an excellent assistant shopper, accompanying me on 3 test drives and through numerous offices at the dealership. She finished up her shopping by placing 4 wet feet right on the front seat to break the new truck in for dogs and permanently called "shotgun!".

I know you will be so happy with this truck. I'm not brand loyal - we looked at the Nissan also but ended up with a F250 because of a better deal, nicer salesman! etc.
I'm glad to see you got the big cab. You'll be able to fit a crate in there if you want. We do that and then bought a dog crate for the bed that fits 4 dogs.
Love those trucks - hate the gas/diesel prices!

Oh i am so in TRUCK LOVE! Seriously, i'm one happy, happy girl. I'm loving the crew cab already. The seats fold up out of the way and i can put 3 dogs back there. Now to start shopping for a dog box for the bed. Deb - where did you get yours? I'm hoping the Nissan will get decent gas mileage even if it is 4WD. My E350 with the V10 is eating me up!

You never would have gotten such a good deal without Gael along. :-) Congrats! I'm sure I'll see it soon, though it looks like the heat will keep me home today.

We went through Craig Rogers but you can order direct from the company (not sure if Craig is still a dealer for them) I believe they are located in NC so you could probably pick up and save on shipping.
We have the O style. It's light enough for 2 people to take on and off when needed and we use 4 straps to the bed of the truck for a little extra safety.

That's a good idea, picking it up to save on shipping. I think they're about 1.5 hours from me. Perhaps Gael can testdrive the dog box for me too. Road trip!

Ooh, very nice! I just did a multiday trip in that exact Nissan truck—it was super comfy (a way smoother ride than my Tacoma) and we packed a ton of stuff!

I'm definitely loving it. I grin every time i look at it. :-)
